Stress and Positive Mental Management

•  “You are what you eat,” “you are what you think,” and “thoughts are food.”

•  We internalize our thoughts that create our environment.

Self Imposed Limitations

•  Negative beliefs

•  Negative emotions

•  Negative state

•  The key is not to use them

•  Reframe them, paradigm shift

•  Affects your health

Stress Research

•  Rockefeller University researched chronic stress:

- Allostatic load (joint stress to cerebellum; pre-stress) was measured over 2 years.

- Highest allostatic load group had 500% increase in heart disease.

- Adjustments stimulate the cerebellum, thus supporting the hypothesis that chiropractic adjustments help reduce stress and anxiety, increase relaxation, therefore, increase health and decrease disease susceptibility!
